My floral and still life paintings are an expression of the love and appreciation that I feel for the landscape that I live in.  The Creston Valley is a rich agricultural area, known for it’s fruit orchards and produce.  It is surrounded by an impressive mountain range with plenty of lakes for fishing and recreation.

The fruits, produce and flowers grown here in the valley provide me with a never ending source of inspiration for my watercolor paintings.  I love to showcase these in my work, along with local pottery, vintage china, interesting vases and lace tablecloths from my growing collection.

My paintings are highly detailed, they have been called “elegant, sparkling with rich, luminous colors.”  I develop each painting through “meticulous layers of hue” producing rich, jewel-like colors and textures.

“Painting is a journey.  It is the way I mark my path through life.”
