Hello, I’m Laura
…and this is Gabby, my loyal yorkie and studio assistant. 🐾 Welcome to my Garden Studio in the heart of the Creston Valley, BC.
I create playful, expressive art inspired by birds, blooms, and the joy of the outdoors. My art is designed to uplift your spirits and bring warmth into your home, whether as a poster print, a greeting card, or a treasured original.
My Journey
I’ve been painting for over two decades—first in watercolor, then falling in love with the layered richness of mixed media collage. For many years I worked primarily on wood panels, building each painting from a base of torn collage papers and textures before layering in color and detail. These pieces remain at the heart of my work and continue to be treasured by collectors.
Today, I’m slowly returning to fine art paper, carrying with me many of the same collage and mixed media techniques. This shift allows me to create new designs that can be offered as prints, greeting cards, and future product lines—bringing my art to more homes in joyful and accessible ways.
