Hello and Welcome
I'm Laura Leeder, a Canadian artist, nature enthusiast, and lifelong observer of the small wonders found just outside the door. I create from my home studio in Creston, British Columbia, where birds, gardens, and the changing seasons inspire much of my work.
Whether it's a chickadee visiting the feeder, hummingbirds returning in spring, or flowers blooming in the garden, I find endless inspiration in the everyday beauty of nature.
My artwork combines a love of illustration, storytelling, and seasonal living to create greeting cards, prints, and nature-inspired pieces designed to bring joy, calm, and connection into your home.
What began years ago as mixed media collage has naturally evolved into a growing collection of bird and botanical artwork inspired by life in the Kootenays and the simple pleasures of the seasons.
A Creative Life, Rooted in Nature
My creative practice is closely connected to the way I live.
Time spent gardening, walking local trails, watching birds, sketching ideas, and enjoying the quiet rhythms of home all influence the work I create. These everyday moments often become the starting point for new illustrations, collections, and stories.
I believe creativity and nature have a way of helping us slow down, notice more, and reconnect with what matters most.
