Hummingbirds Among the Phlox | Original Watercolour Pair

A little moment of beauty, captured in watercolour.

Hummingbirds Among the Phlox brings together two charming original paintings featuring a male and female Broad-tailed Hummingbird among colourful garden phlox.

Wings Among the Phlox captures the vibrant male hovering among blossoms, while Phlox and Feathers features his graceful female companion.

Soft washes of watercolour, gentle textures, and delicate floral details bring a sense of lightness and movement to each painting. Created on beautiful Saunders Waterford 200 lb cold press watercolour paper, both originals are finished with subtle Posca acrylic detailing for added depth and definition.

Together, these two paintings celebrate the fleeting beauty of garden visitors — those lovely little moments that invite us to pause and appreciate the natural world.

Designed to be enjoyed as a companion pair, these original paintings create a harmonious, nature-inspired display. Perfect for a cozy corner, gallery wall, or a thoughtful gift for someone who loves birds and gardens.
